Manipulation & Puppet
In this stage of the project, I responded to the story’s themes by creating a simple articulated paper figure using cardstock and drawing pins. The movable joints allowed the figure’s limbs to be repositioned into a sequence of ballet-inspired poses.
By photographing these movements frame by frame, I created a visual narrative that suggests a sense of manipulation and control, as though the character is being directed by an unseen force. This approach reflects the story’s underlying themes while introducing a handmade and experimental element into the design process.
